What Atlas does—and what it does not.
What browser data does Atlas read?
Atlas reads the URL, title, favicon reference, pinned state, and tab position needed to organize your open tabs. It does not read page bodies.
Does tab information go to OpenAI or another AI provider?
No. The organizer runs in the extension. Atlas has no AI API key and no per-use token cost.
What reaches the Atlas server?
Billing entitlement requests and, for Pro users who choose Sync now, an AES-GCM encrypted backup. The server does not receive the backup encryption key.
How do I install the preview?
Download the package, unzip it, enable Developer mode at chrome://extensions, and choose Load unpacked. Chrome Web Store distribution is not available yet.
How does Pro activation work?
Stripe shows a one-time activation key after verified payment. Paste it into Atlas Settings to activate that browser. One subscription supports up to three devices.
How do I cancel or update my card?
Open Atlas Settings and choose Manage billing. Stripe’s hosted portal handles invoices, payment methods, and cancellation.
